Scientists identify ‘roadmap’ cancer uses to spread
Scientists claim to have discovered a way to predict which tumours will become aggressive before they spread.
New research published in Nature Communications shows tumours are held together by an extracellular matrix, which acts as a roadmap and guides these cells to invade other parts of the body.
Most importantly, the scientists are now looking at how to block the cancer cells from spreading through the matrix.

Teen shearer bringing hope amid workforce shortfall
There’s hope for the Australian wool industry in the face of a growing shortage of sheep shearers, with a new generation stepping up in the form of 13 year old Charlie Dunn.
The NSW teen is proving the future is bright by recently smashing his own personal best record, shearing an incredible 150 sheep in a single day.
Charlie has been shearing since the age of five and is now encouraging his mates to get involved.

The Wiggles go Country
There has been a fair bit of controversy surrounding Beyonce’s recent Grammy’s win for an album in the Country Music category, but it hasn’t stopped everyone’s favourite childrens’ music group from entering the scene.
The Wiggles are preparing to release a country music album, and it has the backing of Country legend Dolly Parton who collaborated on a new song and allowed her 9 to 5 classic to be reimagined as a “Counting 1 to 5” educational song.

Giant dinosaur footprint discovered on the beach
A massive dinosaur footprint, estimated to be 130 million years old, has been uncovered on a beach on the Isle of Wight after recent storms.
The discovery was made be a fossil guide – Joe Thompson – who knew exactly what to look for, and warned the metre-wide Iguanodon print will probably wash away within weeks.
